Folk Nation gang leader Kwyme Waddell aka Big Homie fired 11 shots at Brooklyn

Waddell was given his freedom in October. In 2017, he was given an eight-year prison sentence for attempted murder, assault, and other crimes.

Waddell got the prison sentence after he and 17 other members of the “No Love City” gang were caught in February 2016.

The crew was linked to 10 shootings that left one person dead and ten others hurt. On May 30, 2014, a 60-year-old woman from Brooklyn was paralyzed by a stray bullet as she walked home from the store.

After a teenage member of Waddell’s gang was killed on New Year’s Day 2014, his crew got in their cars and went “riding out” in Canarsie, looking for people they thought were in the rival 100 Cloccs or HQ Monopoly gangs.

After another “No Love City” member was shot and killed outside the Comedy Store in West Hollywood, California, in 2015, prosecutors say that violence turned into a shooting war on the streets of Canarsie.

Waddell was brought before the Brooklyn Federal Court on Tuesday, where he was told he would be held without bail.

His lawyer, John Buza, said, “He has pleaded not guilty, and he is looking forward to arguing his case in court.”
