Three months after his sudden death at the age of 59, Coolio has received a tombstone purchased by his family.
The stone was designed by monumental mason Cemetery Tim, who provided markers for Nate Dogg and Eazy E.
He took to Instagram this week to share the finished product and the rapper’s girlfriend, Mimi Ivey, commented that it was “worth every penny.”

He added, “All love,” and included a praying hands emoji as Mimi responded, “Thank you.” I am beyond happy and grateful for all the hard work she put into making this gemstone.

According to a report from The explosionwho reviewed the case documents, the Gangsta’s Paradise artist died intestate, indicating that he had no will.
The outlet noted that rapper Fantastic Voyage’s seven adult children have been listed as next of kin and possible beneficiaries in an estate filed by his former manager.

Coolio was discovered on a friend’s bathroom floor on September 28 and later pronounced dead of suspected cardiac arrest.
Mimi, who had been with him since 2012, exclusively told DailyMail.com how she reacted when she was told the news.
“I just remember all the air and life leaving my body,” he recalled. ‘I was outside getting ready to take my son to soccer practice. All I remember was falling to my knees. I collapsed.’
She revealed that, according to Coolio’s own instructions, he would not have a full funeral and would be cremated.
Throwback: Coolio shared four of his children, Artisha, Brandi, Jackie and Artis, with ex-wife Josefa Salinas, pictured at the Space Jam premiere in 1996.
The guest list for the cremation was so strictly limited that it even unfroze some friends who had known him for decades.
A source close to Coolio told DailyMail.com that the move was taken to prevent a potential spat between the mothers of his children.
Mimi, an exotic dancer and chef, revealed that she knew that Coolio was seeing other women and that they had reached an arrangement as a couple.
“We were the best of friends,” he said. “We talked about everything and joked and laughed about everything. There was never a dull moment being with him.
